Spalted Pecan Vase Handmade

This vase was turned using reclaimed wood from a downed 130+ year old pecan tree.  The wood dictated the undulating shape and form to create a one-of-a-kind piece.   It has been sealed with four coats of butcher block oil and a top coat of water based sealer.   The piece has a rustic quality and texture with the checks and cracks of the old wood.  We did not remove the character of the piece to let it show its age and tactile beauty.

The dimensions are approximately 5"W x 7-1/2" T (at highest point)  and 3-3/4" W x  4-1/4" D opening.
